Google Finally Discloses Android M’s Name (Marshmallow) & SDK 6.0
If you are a tech-geek, you would know how the Google has specified names for its updates. However, the updates are named on different things belonging to a specific category. For updates regarding Search Engine Optimization (SEO) algorithms, Google has given them names based on animals such as Panda, Penguin, Humming Bird, etc.
Similarly, Google has been naming different Android versions, an operating system by Google for smartphones and other gadgets, on confectioneries. The very first version, launched in 2009, was named Cupcake. After Cupcake, there were Donut, Éclair, Gingerbread, Ice-cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, Kit Kat and Lollipop.
Since the first preview of Android 6.0 was launched, everyone was curious to know what would be the official name of the coming update. For app developers who were desperate to start developing apps on the latest version of Android, good news is that Android 6.0 SDK is available to download for app development. You can easily update your SDK version through SDK Manager.
